Here’s an update about all the social events over the next few months. If you have any ideas for an event then please drop me an email (chris.mcnamara@sthk.nhs.uk) or pop in to see me. The more variety we have the better they will be. A big thank you to everyone who has helped enable the events so far (Sarah Cooper, Jess Crolla and Sarah Robinson particularly).
Quiz time.
Do you fancy a casual Thursday evening in Liverpool, a few drinks, buffet and a quiz?
If so then get the 10th October in your diary. Don’t be shy and get a few of you together and head into Liverpool. Whoever comes along will be made very welcome and it’s a good way to get to know some colleagues better. And in some cases realise how wonderfully intelligent they are……. or otherwise! 🙂
It’s at the Old Bank bar near James St station. It’s a 630pm start and finishes around 930pm.
We have to win this year as there is a rumour it is a new CQUIN target.

Bongo’s Bingo
Well it’s nearly time for this and it’s safe to say a few of you are a bit excited. I won’t lie, I am too, it’s an amazing evening which will be made infinitely better if one of us wins a Henry Hoover or a mobility scooter. 43 of us have tickets and it certainly won’t be a “quiet one”.
There are two spare tickets available and it’s first come first served, unbelievably 2 people had to drop out! Please email me chris.mcnamara@sthk.nhs.uk if you want them. It’s £20 and on the 27th September.
Shiverpool
There is no better time than the end of October for a bit of a fright. So on Friday 18th October at 7pm a few of the Finance Team are heading into Liverpool to go on a Shiverpool tour…….

Christmas
The Christmas party is booked and Blundells Hill Golf Club are bracing themselves for our arrival. There are 40 of us booked to go and it will be a good night.
There are 2 spare tickets for this night, two of the team that have paid the £20 deposit have apparantley got better offers, including going abroad. Which to be fair is quite tempting in the middle of December. Make them an offer for the ticket, I would! The total price is £54.50 and is payable at the end of October.

Its a free bar up until midnight, so Rob Williams and I are getting all the Procurement Team a drink in, before midnight.
Events for 2020…….
To some of you it might be your worst nightmare, being locked in a room. Well it has been suggested we do this for next year. No, it isn’t some form of new management style to make sure all work gets done before we go home. There are ‘Escape Room’ type games in Liverpool and Manchester and it has been suggested we do this. Also it has been suggested we do the Crystal Maze in Manchester…..
