November drinks
A survey was issued to see if anyone fancied a drink at the end of November and if so, where and when. Never in the history of surveys were responses so quick! It’s a great reflection that many of you are happy to share a drink with each other after work. The results are in and the Procurement supercomputer has been working away. It has been tough keeping this to myself, especially when the survey results may have been leaked. It’s…………. Rainhill.

If you haven’t completed the survey, don’t worry please just come along. Just pop in for a soft drink or leave the car and get taxi/train/lift/sleep on a bench.
There is no firm plan but I expect it will be a few drinks, in Rainhill straight from work. Nothing to expensive or fancy. AKA Beer and kebab!!
Christmas party
There are 39 of us going to Blundells Hill golf club On Friday 13th December for what will be a great night! There is one spare place available, if you are interested then please let Sarah Robinson know before Wednesday
All payments need to be made to Sarah Robinson by the 30th October please. In total it is £54.50, you will have paid the £20 deposit, so it will be £34.50 remaining .
Just make sure you tell anyone that is going, (who you know won’t read this), that it is fancy dress and they have to dress as an Elf.

So here’s a picture of really victorious people celebrating a really special event. It was a great evening, good food, drinks and company. Well done to everyone who went and for the success, as the picture irrefutably shows:

Shiverpool
A hardy bunch of the Department braved near monsoon conditions to go on a tour of Liverpool. It was a really entertaining evening and highly recommended with plenty of scares and laughs along the way. And a few pub stops helped keep the evil spirits away!

Especially if you haven’t responded to any of the surveys or attended any of the events I would really welcome your feedback on the type of events you would like to see. There are 100+ colleagues in the department. No doubt some of you have some great ideas, or even some great contacts for events.
